Project portfolio

Lipidor is targeting to move the candidates up to proof-of-concept and thereafter license the product and the technology to partners.

Technology Licensing for Originators developing NCEs or reformulations.

Lipidor supports originators – recognizing the features and benefits provided by the technology – wanting to the test their NCE (New Chemical Entity) in the AKVANO® delivery system or working on an innovative reformulation for life-cycle-management purposes.

After confirming the feasibility of the NCE incorporation into AKVANO® and the desired benefits, a licensing agreement is signed in order to move the product forward into the next steps required for registration purposes.

Animal Care

Skin diseases are very common in dogs, cats and horses. Atopic dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, moist eczema (hot spots) and lick granolomas are examples of skin disorders which besides various pharmaceutical regimes (for example corticosteroids) need to be treated with emollients, keratolytic, antibacterial and antifungal agents.

The AKVANO® dosage form is designed for local topical application. Topical treatments are increasingly used in animals offering many product opportunities, and AKVANO® presents important advantages compared to other topical regimes.

Firstly, the water-free, solvent based composition makes the AKVANO® dosage form especially suitable for application on protected skin, for example horse coat, and cat and dog hair or fur, which are water repellent.

Secondly, the non-touch feature of AKVANO® makes it superior to creams and ointments.

Thirdly, the high content of emollient lipids make an excellent matrix for included skin treating agents, such as keratolytics.
